Our Goats
Every kid for sale at Sujam packgoats is born on our property. Their sires and dams live with us year round, truly part of the family. We feel that the best packgoats are those who know they were born for a life of adventure. From the moment they take their first breath, they are instilled with that knowledge. We take pride in our breeding program supplying future packgoats. Our foundation goats come from Dwite Sharp’s almost 30 years of perfecting the correct confirmation and attitude needed for packing. His work of understanding the general characteristics of every domestic breed and finding the top producers to bring together the ideal athletic packgoat took years of production and still continues. Many long time packgoat owners have several, if not all of Dwite Sharp’s breeding in their string. We are fortunate enough to be able to add to his program on the west side of the country. We have also introduced a few other goats to our stock. These goats have been added to our program based on conformation, aptitude, and attitude. These goats have shown their ability to provide the best packgoats around.

What does Sujam mean?
I am frequently asked that question and thought a little background information would be helpful.
My father, Charles Majus, was a first generation American and lived the Dream to the best of his abilities. He was the only sibling to not only graduate from college, but do so with a double degree, and continue on to receive a master's in music. He also served in the Air Force before starting a family. Not to be one to sit still, while working and raising his family, he dabbled in a few different businesses. The types of business varied, but they all were Sujam's, Majus spelled backwards. He and his brother thought the name had a nice ring. In honor of both my dad and uncle, I thought my farm should follow tradition.
